Is it too early to start planning for Thanksgiving? Lol

I love Fall!

Not a big fan of Halloween but I love dressing up and taking part of the festivities.
But I loooovvve Thanksgiving. Especially the decorating and eating part. Lol

Is anyone else excited for Fall?

Re: Is it too early to start planning for Thanksgiving? Lol

  • I am super pumped for fall! Not sure where you are, but I'm in Los Angeles. I woke up to clouds and a little drizzly rain this morning and it was awesome.  :D

I get excited about just about every holiday, so Halloween is on my list to celebrate. I'm really excited for Thanksgiving and I do not think it is too early to start thinking about it. Maybe don't buy a turkey just yet, but menu research is totally fine.
    :)

    I'm in San Francisco. :)

I've definitely started my Thanksgiving decorating research. Lol But most importantly I need to figure out what I'm dressing up for Halloween. Do you have started your Halloween research?
  • Yup, I posted below about couples Halloween costumes, but no responses so far. Pretty sure hubby is going to be the Swedish Chef and I am going to be a chicken. Going to DIY the costumes this year.

Do you have any ideas what you're going to do yet?

I'll go check your post. Do you have some images?

I saw a really cute costume for a scare crow. And the best part is it's DIY. :D
  • No images yet, still trying to come up with a plan of what I think I want the chicken to look like
  • Not at all, the celebration season has already begun; I could feel the air of festivity. I too am super excited like you and have even begun my shopping for outfits, jewelry, decorative house hangings, attractive masks for Halloween, and many more things. I have even started bedecking my office desk with fall flowers every Friday :)

And after seeing both of your comments, I have become more inspired and enthusiastic. Scary crow is a very cute idea. I have thought of a neat yet hot look this time; something like .

A creepy retro look is also a quaint idea for the evening party. Anyways, a very happy and safe celebration season to everyone.

The original image I saw was here: pinterest /pin /541628292659474087

But I do like your idea of changing it for an evening look. I might need to go back to the drawing board! Lol I still haven't committed 100% still looking for other inspirational images.
  • I love DIY! I'm planning to DIY my costume too.

I'm thinking of maybe making a dress like this one:
But in white, yellow and orange

And maybe making wings like this:
    In white, yellow and orange.

I'm not sure if I'll do a lot of make-up or a mask or anything. We're not allowed to wear them at my office and I'll be leaving straight from my office to help DH's grandfather pass out candy. So we'll see.

    Love the scare crow idea!
