Eye appointment

I'm still sitting in the waiting room, waiting for scheduling, but I thought I would update you.

They don't think it's cancerous, but it's not a birthmark, and they think I should have it removed. They are going to do labs once they take it out, but they said even if it is, it is so small, contained, and caught early enough that they aren't worried too much about it.

So long term, I'll be fine. Just going to take a while to get there. I'll keep you posted though.

I'm glad they caught it early in case it turns out cancerous. It is always a good thing. Eye surgery is scary, but you will be fine. My mom made it through.

Are you definitely doing the surgery?

Yikes on surgery but I agree that it's great they caught whatever it is early.

I am. It's going to be a week from Thursday. I'm actually not too nervous. It's going to be outpatient, 45 minutes in surgery tops, with one of the best doctors in the world. I was honestly more concerned about the long term vision effects, which they are very sure there won't be, especially since I know of someone that went to the same doctor and had her entire eye removed.

I think the worst thing for me right now is that I won't be able to wear my contacts for over a month.

And Megan, it really helps knowing that your mom had a good experience there.

And then on the way home from the appointment, my mom and I stopped at ikea and the container store. Thanks for the recommendation Jean!
