Re: Relationships of FB

  • I find it dangerous, FB and other social networks.

Dangerous inasmuch as that up close and personal rules and other actions that are a given are now eliminated thanks to FB and other social media.

Defriending: What kind of bullshit is this? You zap somebody from your "Friends" list --- why??? And then you're blocked?

You get no closure and no reason.

Would you do this in a social setting to somebody you see up close in flesh and blood? I'd find it weird if somebody simply stopped contacting me/talking to me out of the blue. And gave no reason for the motion.

FB is nothing but a lot of silliness --- I've seen things get misconstrued, simply because the power of the spoken word is simply unavailable on FB. The dumbest things start arguments -- and UGH, to some of what I've seen posted.

This one guy we know posts nothing but political retoric in every single one of his appearances on FB.  He's very right wing and uptight and "conservative" -- he's so tight on his opinions about political this and that that he squeaks.
  • I try to keep my fb pretty general and positive.  Not that everything in life is positive, but nothing good is going to come of going online to complain and be passive aggressive.

I have many friends on my fb, so, there were about 500 pictures of my wedding day posted before I had even seen them, but it is the world of social networking. :)

Be the change you want to see in the world!
