Bad day
I just got home from Philly about an hour ago, and just found out my dad was rear ended on his way home from work. He is walking, but had a lot of neck pain, so they are taking him to the hospital by ambulance.
So not only can I not go to the hospital, where I would like to be, I am stuck at home, alone, basically unable to even walk on my own let alone cook dinner.
Worse yet, he was in the pickup truck, which we are basically using on a daily basis to shuttle stuff to and fro the house. It has so many of his tools in the back, and I hope to god all of the stuff is okay too.
And I just feel so helpless and I needed someone to talk to.

My dad is fine, other than some soreness.
The truck on the other hand... The other driver only had minimum insurance, so we are only going to get $5000, which is basically going to cover nothing. Which also means no rental car, which means that moving is pretty much not going to happen any time soon. And worse, body shops around here are so backed up because of that hail storm from a few months ago, and it might be months until it's fixed. And we really need the truck, for things other than just the move. It's just so angering that people can get away with doing things like having basically no insurance. And worse, he was stopped for a while, and she had PLENTY of room to see him stopped. She just was doing something else. I should take a picture for you.
Oh, and his drills are in the back for sure, which we really do need.
Sigh.
