Living Room Built In Shelving
Has anyone used a contractor to build and install built in shelving in their living room or dining room? I got a ballpark estimate from Pittsburgh Remodeling Co. and it was 10-20k! That seems on the expensive side. Has anyone else looked into this.

How many shelves? How many vertical elements? Is it all wood? How are they finished? Do you want a modern, sleek look or is everything trimmed out?
The wide range of the first estimate makes me think that either the parameters were very general or the contractor you talked to doesn't really need/want the work right now.
