Re: I'll start the Ebola post with this...

  • I am not a worry wort. I am not running around in panic.  But I have been following Ebola ever since there was that outbreak in Reston.  My grandmother lived there.  

    But Ebola Reston was transmitted through the air, which leads one to believe that this virus mutated. Luckily, Reston does not affect humans.  But that shows that Ebola is not not airborne. 

    Second, there was one study done by Canadians with infected pigs and monkeys, that shows that it possible for large droplets from infected lungs.  Now, granted, they also believe that pigs carry more of the virus within their systems, but it is something that needs to be studied more. 

    Because the doctor in the Texas case was a symptomatic when he left Africa.  But who is to say when one person's ability to be contagious is always going to consign with showing symptoms?  

    Again, I am not fear mongering.  I think we (the world) should spend more money on studying Ebola and other diseases like this.
