Does anyone have good ideas for very low fat dinner recipes?
We found out last week that I'm going to need my gallbladder removed ASAP. The doctors are hoping to push it until baby comes naturally, wait a few weeks, and then go back in for surgery. Until then I need to control it with diet. I'm basically terrified to eat, so poor Tim and Logan are left to fend for themselves.
I don't think I can go 4-8 weeks living off of fruit and Cheerios, so I need some new recipes. If anyone has good low fat recipes, I would certainly appreciate it!!

I don't have any low fat recipes to share, like you I was also afraid to eat for a while. Although, I do not have any issues with anything I eat now. Good luck!
Chili with ground turkey
Black bean burgers
Pasta with veggies
Pasta with shrimp
Shrimp stir fry or fried rice (I make my fried rice with egg whites, veggies and flavoring and typically avoid much butter/oil)
I love lunch meat sandwiches warmed in the oven - it just makes them taste better than a cold sandwich (I'd make it with mustard of some kind and a sargento thin slice of cheese)
Brinner
Bagel sandwiches (onion bagel toasted, add tomato, cooked turkey bacon and a tiny bit of shredded cheese - put under broiler to melt cheese)
Turkey burgers
Soups - a lot of soups tend to be lowfat

I feel like I am on such a high fat diet right now, it is hard to think about low fat options right now. But if I think of more I will pass them along. good luck!
What about a stir fry with some rice noodles? You could add a low-fat protein, or not. We like Brococoli, Bean Sprouts, zucchini, water chestnuts (are they low-fat?), snow peas, and mushrooms in ours. DH also found a lemongrass paste that changes things up a bit. It is near the fresh herbs at GE.
As snacks, maybe lowfat/no fat yogurt? Would hummus be considered low-fat? I know there is some in there. That and green peppers or carrots, pretzels, or aforementioned tortillas?
Good luck! I hope you can get it all resolved quickly!
