Dining Room Table Help! :)

We just bought a house and it has a very open floor plan- dining room is open to kitchen and living room. I feel like since the dining room/kitchen are attached I need to buy a table that goes with the finishes in the kitchen. See below for the Kitchen photo. Dark brown cabinets, antique white island, granite is a dark black with white granite.

I also think the dining room will lean a little more casual since it isn't separate and will be used both for everyday and entertaining.

Open to suggestions on what color finishes/chairs would look good! :)

Re: Dining Room Table Help! :)

  • I like balance.  You have very dark cabinets and countertops, so I would go light.  What about a glass top table of some type?  It's great for every day wear because it cleans easily and you don't have to worry like with wood.  What's your style?  Do you like a more traditional look like this kitchen or something more transitional?
  • First, I love your kitchen! The chandelier is great! I would do a dark wood table. Maybe do a farmhouse style table in a darker wood if you want to keep it from being too formal?
