Meghan&Rich --Coolspring Maze

I just saw you went there.  Is it worth the drive?  My dd is super into the Wizard of Oz right now and dh saw that was the theme this year.  Are there real bathrooms there?  Is it really crowded?

Re: Meghan&Rich --Coolspring Maze

  • I think it is worth the drive (we are coming from the North Hills).  We've gone for the past 4 years and it's one of my favorite Fall things to do.  In addition to the corn maze, they have a lot of other activites (some are included with admission, some are extra).  They have porta-potties, but they weren't too bad.

The day that we went it was 80 and sunny, so there were a lot of people there, but it is so open and spread out that it didn't feel crowded at all.  (I have issues with crowds!)  We waited in a line to ride ponies and a line to ride some cow train thing, but neither line was more than a few minutes.  I'm sure now that the temps are cooler, there will even be less people there.

Everyone who works there is also incredibly nice.  The first year that we went, we didn't realize it was cash only and didn't have enough cash on us for admission - the owner was like 'no big deal, just mail us a check if you remember'.

I think you will enjoy it!

  • Thank you, thank you!  I'm glad you brought up the cash thing.  I probably wouldn't have brought cash.

  • Check their website - that might have changed as they've grown a lot bigger since the first year that we went.  We always bring cash with us now, so I don't know if they take debit cards.
