Re: Weekend plans!!

  • Tonight: Brian is taking Jake to our high school football game.  Which means that I will be putting Liam to bed, crawling under a blanket, and catching up on the real housewives.
    \:D/

Saturday: Brian has physical therapy early in the morning and I'm going to take the boys to get their hair cut while he's gone.  The afternoon will consist of me running a bunch of errands.  No evening plans, maybe a movie night after dinner?

Sunday: church in the morning, then my mom is coming up to watch the game.

  • Today: Hoping to leave work a bit early and go see my new nephew! I was going to go last night but I thought they could use a break. Then Nathan and I will go grab something to eat.

Saturday:  Nathan is hunting. I am making a double batch of wedding soup. I am really regretting getting myself into this. I hate making the little meatballs. I need to also run to the strip to go to PennMac. Then I am going to go distribute said soup.

Sunday: Clean up the yard, OMG so many leaves....

  • Kris---ugh, I hear you on the leaves.  and the acorns!  Our acorns are especially bad this year.

  • We're in that "keep weekends free in case I go into labor" phase, which has been really nice.

Logan threw us a sweet curve ball by getting pink eye in both eyes. Thrilling!! We're keeping patient x inside all day today so as not to infect anyone. This means catching up on the DVR to me.

Tomorrow we may attempt the pumpkin patch depending on how we're all feeling.

Sunday is probably breakfast with my girlfriends and church.

Kris, the last time I made wedding soup and baked ziti, I saved myself a ton of time and work by buying the mini meatballs that Penn Mac keeps in the freezers in the cheese section of the store. I was pretty happy with them.

It's a long weekend for me :-) Yay for Columbus day!

Tonight I'm going to see Gone Girl. I loved/hated the book, and I'm curious what I'll think of the movie.

Saturday Steve's heading to the lake to work on our most recent renovation project and I'll be home with the boys. Michael has a birthday party at Reilly's farm. I've never been there, but I hope to do some activities with Jackson while Michael's at the party.

Sunday we're supposed to go to Idlewild with friends. I'm hoping the weather predictions are wrong and it's not a rainy day.

Monday the kids are off for conferences, so I'm planning a science center trip in the morning and then conferences and swim lessons the rest of the day.

  • I don't think we have anything set for this weekend outside of EJ's soccer practice/game tomorrow.  So that means I will most likely actually make it to the grocery store and do a proper shopping trip. Though my trip to Target the other night felt like I ran a 5k when I was done.  So easily worn out!!

I have a dresser to wipe off for the nursery, as it was in the basement for the past couple years. And I am still going through the newborn-6 months clothes we had handed down to us.  Some is gender neutral, but mostly boy stuff. Funny how I had a girl and yet don't have any girl clothes around here!

I should buy some curtains for the room too. And get the trim I want to sew on the edges so I can do that while I still have the desire/energy.  We did order the cribs this morning! I really want to be done with the nursery before November.
  • Today is my birthday, but DS is sick, so I don't think any fun will be had. He has a stomach bug and has been puking everything besides water, pedialite, chicken broth, and bread. It's not fun, and we're going on day 5 (which the ped says is ok as long as he is staying hydrated). I'm supposed to go get my hair done tomorrow, but I don't know if that's really going to happen. I sure hope so, because I could totally use a break!
  • We are fall camping this weekend. Every time I look at the overnight temperatures, I throw a few more layers in the suitcases...

  • No plans this weekend!!  I was tossing around going to the Coolspring maze, but thought of me having to be "morning" sick in a porta potty scares me.  I like the sound of napping all day much better.

  • I have a long weekend, and I am really looking forward to it!

Tonight I am meeting a friend for dinner.

Saturday the boys have soccer, then we have a birthday party for a family friend.

Sunday I am supposed to go to Ligonier Days with my mom, but we'll see how the weather looks.  My parents are keeping the boys overnight that night and Rich and I are going to see Gone Girl then out for dinner and drinks.

It has been a rough few weeks, so Monday is my day.  I plan to sleep in, get a pedicure, do some shopping, nap, then pick up the boys and have dinner at my parents.

  • Dh is out of town so it's a girls weekend!
Tonight: probably out to dinner and taking dd to see dolphin tale 2

Tomorrow: soccer practice and gymnastics. A few errands and then dd has a birthday party. Probably will watch a girly movie together afterwards at home.

Sunday: probably going to our zoo for trick or treating and then trying to take a few pics of dd in her Halloween costume since she will already be dressed up

  • Tonight - no plans, hopefully watching Scandal and HTGAWM after the kids are in bed.

Saturday - social skills for Hayden and we are going on a hayride with a bunch of family at Mingo Park in the evening.

Sunday - picking up leaves, laundry, etc.

    Monday - ??

  • This has shaped up to be a busier weekend than anticipated (at least Saturday is).

Tonight clean up and catch up on the DVR.
Tomorrow - I'm meeting up to complete a craigslist sale in the morning, we're signing a contract to have our sewer project finished, taking DD to a fall festival, my bestie is coming over to help me make centerpieces for a shower and then DH has a drum lesson.
    Sunday -recover from Saturday:P

We have buckeyes, which are neat but the tree is right by our bedroom skylight and when they fall it sounds like there is animals trying to get in. Oh joy!

I am about to give in to Nathan's request for a new leaf blower. We have one but the one he wants is a little more "industrial". It does not help that my dad has one and raves about how awesome it is.

I make kev mow over the leaves in our yard so they compost back into the ground. hehehe.  Emmy, I keep waiting for our oaks to have a big acorn year, but so far I barely see any.  Don't think the squirrels and deer are that good at cleanup that I wouldn't notice any.

This is totally non-scientific based, but I think ours must be on some type of 4 year cycle...the first year we lived in this house in 2010, the acorns were out.of.control after we moved in!  I can remember asking the neighbors if it's always like that and they said no, it seems to happen every few years.  And they were right, we've hardly had any the past few years...but this year they are back with a vengeance!  You know how usually if you have people coming over in the winter, you would go out and shovel your sidewalk so no one gets hurt?  When the acorns are like this, we have to go out and sweep the sidewalk so no one breaks an ankle falling on them!  it's a hazardous area right now.
