Gone Girl - possible spoilers

Did anyone see the movie yet? I saw it this weekend and wanted to know what other people thought about it. I also read the book.

    Anniversary

  • I saw it Thursday. I didn't read the book but the movie was so good. I couldn't believe how disturbed the characters were. I enjoyed it though.
  • Read it but still haven't seen the movie.  DH does not want to see it for some reason.
  • I loved the book but thought the movie was okay. The story line for the movie was very true to the book. Also the book was so dark but I thought the movie had oddly placed humor.

  • Read the book- haven't seen the movie yet!
  • I love, love, loved them both. It's been a while since I read the book, so I feel like I should go back and refresh my memory, but I know they did a darn good job of staying true to it, probably because of Gillian Flynn doing the screen play. I can't wait to see what they do with her other 2 adaptations!

  • I saw the movie without reading the book.  It was definitely interesting, but it kind of rambled, I thought.  And I didn't like the ending, which is funny because I often write open-ended fiction myself.  Got a taste of my own medicine!

I kind of wish I'd read the book first.
