FBC - Book about a Family - Where'd You Go Bernadette (sp?)

For the FBC Category "Read a book about a family and post comparing it to your own" I read (or really listened to) "Where'd You Go Bernadette". Before I attempt to compare it to my family let me just say I loved the book :) As far as comparing it to your own, phew that's a tough one. I suppose if I'm comparing myself to Bea she is much smarter and more grounded than I was at that age. She took all the bizarre happenings mostly in stride. I would probably have been curled up in a ball crying somewhere, not searching the antarctic. My Mom doesn't even compare to Bernadette. Although she is artsy and unique she could never live in their house (her house is always 100% perfectly clean). My Dad has the work ethic of Bea's Dad but the similarities end there. I'd like to think he would have listened and believed my Mom about how the neighbor was framing her instead of just trying to stage an intervention.

Overall, loved the book and I'm glad that my parents are the way they are!
