Fitbit users?

I just got a Flex on Monday and am wondering who else is using one? Are you consistent with it? I'm pretty competitive with myself and love numbers and graphs so I feel like this will be really motivational to me. (I hit all of my goals today!)

I do think that the food tracking part of the app and the website are clunky. Right now, although they both show the same amount of caloric intake for today, my app says that I have over 2000 calories left (lol!) and the website dashboard says 633, which seems much  more reasonable. Is anyone else having this issue?

Also, I have no idea how to make people my friend on there, but if you do, add me :)

I feel like I usually figure out tech stuff pretty easily, but this seems harder to me for some reason. Either the UI is not the best or I actually am getting old. ;)

Re: Fitbit users?

  • I have one. I don't use the food tracking part because I use MyFitnessPal instead and link the two apps.

I'm pretty consistent with it during the week, but slack on the weekends.

    It's slippery as waterweed.
  • I've got the FitBit One and love it! I also use My Fitness Pal for calorie tracking though and it seems to work well. I clip the FitBit on and wear all day so I use it as my motivation and to be competitive :)

  • I have the flex . I mainly use it just for the step tracking.  Though i feel like it must be "learning" me or something.  It seems to be clocking less lately that I was before and I don't think I've changed much.  I mean, I could exercise more obviously.  But even on nights where I do, it's hard for me to hit 10K.  Working a desk job definitely doesn't help.  I want to try the walking for 5 minutes every hour at work, but it's not super feasible.

  • Love my flex! I wear it 24/7 mainly for the step count. It depressed me to see how little sleep I was getting. For me it is most accurate when I wear it on my ankle (it wasn't counting all my steps while carrying or pushing alex).
Pm me if you want to be friends. I take a lot of steps everyday if you like friendly competition!
  • I'm thinking about getting one.

  • @sfgiantsjo has one too as well as @willy85 (I think I have the wrong numbers).
  • I have the One and love it.  I wear it all the time.  I just need to get myself back on track with exercising and tracking my food.  I suck at that right now.
