Introduction

Hello everyone!

I'm new, so I thought I'd introduce myself and say hi.  DH and I were just married on Oct 11th.  We have known each other for a long time (10 years, dating for 6 of those), so the wedding has been a long-time coming!

We live in Pennsylvania in a townhouse that we rent (I love it).  He is a software engineer and programmer, I am a doctoral student earning a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  We'll be taking a delayed honeymoon sometime in summer 2015 or winter 2015 (we're limited by my school schedule at this time).

People keep asking me if it's "different" being married.  Six days after the fact, I don't feel too differently about him/us than I did before... but I love being married, and I love FINALLY being able to call him "my husband".

Anyway, nice to meet you all and thank you.

Re: Introduction

  • Welcome! Congrats on your recent marriage!!!   My DH and I were together 10 years by the time we got married so i know what you mean.   We have been married 4 years now.

  • Thank you!  Congrats on 4 more happy years together.  :)
  • Hi! I am new too! We took a delayed honeymoon as well.  We were married in Sept. '11. My husband owns a heating company, so, we were just getting into their busy period so we decided to wait.  We took a cruise from Rome.  I am glad we waited as we met some great friends who we have visited since then, on Cruise Critic!  We saw one set in Florida this past March and have seen the other set twice since the cruise!!!  It was the best trip ever!
  • That sounds awesome, tseguin!  How cool to have made some friends on your trip too.  I have never been on a cruise.. I tend to get motion sickness, so we've never done it.  I might try a river cruise someday, though - they're supposed to be smoother.

And ugh, I feel like I an idiot - I cannot get my signature to work!  Where can you add code for a ticker/what kind of code to use?  BBcode?  HTML?
  • Never mind, I figure it out!  Hehe.  :)
