$5 gift cards?

There's nothing I hate more than finding a perfect idea on Pinterest and then finding out it's not actually possible. I pinned a super cute idea for Tim's work team christmas gifts. It was a $6 redbox gc with movie theater candy boxes and popcorn. Cute, reasonably priced, perfect! Well, it doesn't appear red box has gift cards for under $20. Fail!

So does anyone have a cute christmas gift idea similar to that with a company that does have $5 gift cards?

  • I *think* Starbucks can load them for any price if you buy them in the actual store (as opposed to giant eagle)...you could put them in a mug?  with some chocolate?  or an individual pack of hot chocolate?

  • Amazon? You can rent movies and stream them. I prefer that to red box anyways! Not everyone may be able to do it but there are a million things they could use it for anyways?!

Starbucks does do any amount as far as I know. You can also do Dunkin donuts...I believe they do any amount.

I looked online and you can do a $10 redbox electronic gift card. I know it's more than $5 but still less than $20. He could just email to himself and print it out to give.

  • I think that you can get a multi-pack of Starbucks gift cards in the $5 denomination at Giant Eagle. And I agree with everyone else that you can also get them at the store with any amount on them.
  • You can definitely do 5.00 GC for Starbucks. That is my go to little thank you or thinking of you gift to slip in a card.  Costco had the 3 pack of the Mason Jar insulated straw cups for 9.97.   I bought those and added candy and a SB card for little gifts this year.

  • Is there a fast food place nearby that people frequent for lunch?   You can do a $5 card at places like Subway, Wendy's, etc and it's usually enough for a lunch (or almost).   I'm not sure what you can package it with, maybe something sweet for dessert?

I won a prize pack from Family Video with a $5 card and candy that came in a tub that popped popcorn.  I still haven't used the card though since there isn't a Family Video anywhere near me.
