Ordering party food from Giant Eagle

I want to get some of the food for DH's 1st birthday from Giant Eagle, the cake and some fruit and veggie trays. How far in advance do I need to order them? It's been a long time since I ordered a cake from anywhere, I love to make and decorate them, but we'll have a ton of house guests and I definitely won't have time.

    I think you can order just a day or 2 in advance. However, we did this for DD's party and we ordered an Ariel cake and they were out of plastic Ariels so it was good that we ordered a week in advance because it gave them time to order more.

    You can do as little as 24 hours but if it is something a bit more elaborate than Happy Birthday, I have done at least a week. They did an awesome job on my SIL baby shower cake at Settlers Ridge and my mom had cookies done at Pine and those were great too. We gave them the invite and they matched it almost perfectly.

    We're just getting one of their stock Thomas cakes, and some fruit and veggie trays, nothing crazy.
