  • OK I'll bite.  I actually used to post o this board pretty regularly.  I feel like I don't have much to contribute because I haven't read near as many books as any of you have.  I am, however, reading Outlander and LOVING it!  I still enjoy getting recommendations from you all and will try to post more when I can.
    Siggy coming soon....

  • ugggggh me!  I want to come out of lurkdown.

So.  I have been lurking for the last (er?) 3 years?  I really should have introduced myself earlier, since I've gotten so many great recs from you all.  : )  I'm Sarah, transplant to NY via Boston via Hawaii.  I'm in a library science program right now but totally at a loss of what kind of librarian to become.  My keyboard Kindle recently broke and I refuse to pay $199 for a Voyage or buy an e-reader without page-turning buttons.  I have unsuccessfully tried to read Bel Canto at least three times.  Recently I sobbed like a teenager over multiple parts of Landline, but felt sort of let down by the plot tidiness of I'll Give You the Sun.

  • Hawaii was so nice!  It kills me that the flight back takes 11+ hours.  My family lived in Maui for awhile in this hippie town in the middle of sugar cane fields, but mostly we lived on Oahu where all the people are.  The thing I miss the most is the food, you really can't get Hawaii style shave ice or plate lunch on the east coast.

hahaha!!  I was one of those people who just wasn't that into it at first.  But I decided to give it ONE more chance, now I'm over 70% done and hooked. :)  I even got a friend into it and she is already on the 3rd one.  I'm going to binge watch the show with her one day since she has all the episodes recorded and I don't have Starz.

This made me ACTUALLY laugh out loud because it is so true. If you think we've forgotten who hates it, who pretends to like it, who thinks Jamie is a sadist pig, what books you have actually read up to, and who hasn't finished WIMOHB yet....

We haven't. The mafia remembers everything.
