bank teller

I just got hired as a bank teller at fifth third bank... I would love some suggestions for wardrobe staples on a tight budget.. Also, I have a lot of lower back issues when I am not wearing comfortable, supportive shoes, so does anyone have any suggestion for comfortable, dressy shoes? Thank you any suggestions are welcome. :)

Re: bank teller

  • Oh, and I am plus sized. I forgot to mention that important detail. :)
  • Most banks have a dress code, I imagine the bank you are working for does also.

You can't go wrong with black or gray pants, white blouse, and a jacket or a cardigan of some sort.

  • Check out old navy online - they have plus size clothing online. With the holidays coming up they will be having some great sales, especially Black Friday (usually 40% off online included). Have to agree with Honeybee973 that you can't go wrong with basic black, gray or navy dress pants a white blouse and cardigans. Depending on the dress code of your bank, you may even be able to get away with simple t-shirts (no pockets or graphics) especially under a cardigan or with a nice scarf or necklace to dress it up if you wear dress pants. If you need more blouse type shirts, still check Old Navy online, some cute options for fair prices.  Now for shoes, that's harder to recommend, skip the heals and go for something with good support and cushion. If you have cushions that don't have support/cushion in them, look into some good inserts from dr. scholls. They have some that are designed to the arch of your foot, they aren't cheap but you can move them from shoe to shoe so one pair of inserts can make multiple pairs of shoes work for your job.
  • cant go wrong with a pair of black pants white shirt and a cardigan.
