This post serves no other purpose other than to whine, you've been warned!!

I swear, someone in my house gets sick right around every.single.holiday!  It never fails!  I was feeling kind of blah late last week and into the weekend, so I thought maybe it was going to be me taking one for the team as far as holiday illnesses this year....I rallied by sunday morning, I think it was mostly sinus issues.  But then of course, poor Jake woke up at 5am on Sunday morning with the stomach flu.

Poor kid is miserable, still home sick today with Brian.  Please keep your fingers crossed that none of us get it!!

Ugh, that sucks! Hope everyone is well by Thursday!

My vent. I ordered from Gap on Friday because they had a pre-Black Friday sale for cardholders. I had three orders (they were also doing Gap Cash, and it was capped). So most of the items have shipped, in TEN SEPARATE SHIPMENTS, with three thing b/o till next month.

I also need to call Highmark because I think my husband's former employer already dropped our benefits. Super! They told him we were good through November, I tried to login on last night to get our PCP # and it said we didn't have current coverage. Luckily the new district is picking us up on December 1, but really?

Oh no!  That stinks!  Fingers cross nobody else gets it.  DD has been sick with croup since last Wednesday.  I just keep praying that little sister doesn't get it or that dh and I don't get something just in time for Thanksgiving.  I HAVE to go to Thanksgiving dinner!  It's my favorite meal and with my pregnancy appetite in full force, I intend to eat until I pass out.

Mine annoyance does have a happy ending, so I'll start with that caveat. I came out this morning to a car that wouldn't start. GRRRRRRR. My nice, fairly new car, may I add. AAA came out and the guys says 'um, it definitely isn't your battery - I think it is your timing belt and you need to have this towed'. SOB. Luckily I called the dealership before calling the tow truck (I have free towing through my car's warranty) and in talking - they felt the issue was because I had moved the car yesterday without really going anywhere. So they told me something to try and it should work. It did and we're fine now - but still - what a way to start a Monday!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope Jake feels better soon and everyone else is able to stay healthy.

I don't really have any gripes. I'm in the office today, work from home tomorrow, then off Weds through Sunday, so I'm in a pretty good mood today.

Oh wait, I thought of a funny complaint:

Some of you girls have been around for a very long time so you may remember (or not) that I had an extremely obnoxious wedding photographer. He had a dreadful personality, although our pictures turned out pretty decently...

We had family photos taken a few weeks ago (the same company that my sig pic, from last year) and we showed up at Phipps Garden Center and I thought, "Hmm, that guy looks really familiar...". Turns out that our obnoxious wedding photographer works for the company now. He introduced himself by first name and I immediately realized who he was and I said his last name and informed him that he was our wedding photographer. 

He was just as inappropriate as I remember - here are a few gems...

Me: I need to take my jacket off. 

Him: I photograph sororities sometimes, hehe. Don't take tooooo much off. It's not *that* kind of photo shoot. hahahahah.

Him: How long ago did you guys get married?

Me: 10 years ago.

Him: Is this your only child?

Me: Yes.

Him: What have you two been doing for the last 10 years?! Sleeping in separate bedrooms? Don't you want to touch each other? hahahahahah.

Also G was an absolute terror and super uncooperative. The whole day was a challenge. We would get G situated to take a pic and then the photographer couldn't figure out how to get his camera to work. We saw the proofs about 2 weeks ago. Out of about 25+ pictures, 2 of them are not horrible, not good, but not horrible. At one point he said, "Okay, we're not getting anything accomplished with this kid. Let's call it a day...". 

I got to deal with this man twice. I must have some very good luck
