We just painted our bedroom gray with a dark navy accent wall. We used Behr Marquee for both colors in the Satin finish. The gray walls went on smooth and look good. No blotches, splotches or speckles. The navy wall however...looks horrid. I let it dry for a day and tried painting another coat and it looked a little better but still looked bad. I should have just left it, but tried to "fix" it and put on a third coat (after waiting another day) and now it looks even worse!!
I don't know if it's the roller I'm using. I feel like it is. It feels sticky when it's going on the wall instead of smooth and it goes on speckled. Then when it dries, if you're up close the texture looks speckled and when you back up you can see huge lines/blotches. I'm so tired of painting this stupid wall but cry every time I look at it so it needs to be fixed. It's so hard to see where the fresh paint is going now that the wall has already been painted dark. I read about it possibly being due to not leaving a wet edge, but the paint 1. Like I said, goes on so sticky feeling and 2. I feel like because of the "sticky" application it dries so fast.
I'm thinking I need to get a primer and just start all over? Attaching a picture so you can see how bad it is and possibly any suggestions on getting this wall to look like it has a solid coat of paint! Thak you all in advance!
