Anybody BF or cyber Monday shopping? And vent

I think I vented last year how frustrating the sales can be! I ordered a couple things for dd on sale at target on BF and sure enough they were a better deal today! I swear I'm constantly reordering things and returning stuff! I know something's can be price adjusted but sometimes it's differences between online/in store or coupon codes, etc. I keep trying to buy gifts early to be on top of things only to end up seeing great deals later!

Anyways, so far today I ordered a bunch of American girl outfits in the middle of the night (ha!) and an 18 inch doll house and a few furniture pieces from target. There are a few more pieces I would buy but they were already out of stock yesterday because the sale started early! I think I will wait to give it to dd for her bday. I swear that these are probably the lowest prices they will go so hopefully I'm not shooting myself in the foot!!

Also ordering Christmas cards today.

Most of the stuff I ordered this weekend is not cheaper BUT I did but the bullet and order a dress from Anthro that I have been drooling over. I ordered it Saturday with the 20% off but had to pay shipping (anthro rarely, if ever, does sale AND free shipping). Today, free shipping and 20% off. I am going to call to see if I can get the shipping refunded.

My favorite purchase was a total fluke. I got a new Wendell August catalog and flipped through before tossing it and found a Gus and Yia Yia ornament. So I bought one for my parents and all my siblings. I am so excited to give them to everyone!

Kris that's frustrating about anthro! I've had that happen before and usually have had success with getting some compensation. Some won't refund but I've gotten credits.

I had been waiting to get dd a graco high back booster.  Target had it for 29.99 on Friday (regularly 49.99).  So I ordered it for store pick up and got ebates. I wanted to wait until after Christmas but I couldn't pass that up.  I also got leappad games for $10 a piece on amazon on Friday.

I just bought a Nintendo 2DS, for the middle son, for $115 on Amazon, along with an accessories kit for $30. Free shipping, $15 Amazon credit for surveys I do, and I paid $141 bottom price.

He's going to get all of the older son's 3DS games, since his 3DS fried in the microwave on Friday, at the hands of the 23-mo old. Gavin is going to get something else - either a KindleFire or Samsung or Google Pad.

The only thing I wanted was Target gift cards at 10% off.  We got them online and didn't have to deal with any stores.  I only have three people to shop for so it really isn't very tough.

I bought our holiday cards and calendars that we make for our parents on Shutterfly, with a 25% off sale prices + free shipping code + a $10 off coupon.  On BF I bought a few knit scarves for some grab bags that I'm doing, but I didn't really see any amazing deals.

However, I did finally find some Paw Patrol toys on Amazon that weren't marked up 3x the normal price!  I haven't been able to find what I want in the store, so I've been stalking them on Amazon.  Of course, I ended up buying more than I needed though, so much for savings, lol!

Jackson decided that he wanted paw patrol as well. He used his allowance to buy himself the stuffed Sky, and now he wants the rest of the stuffed animals. of course, the one he wants most is Everest, and I don't even think she's available as a toy yet.

I hadn't heard of this show until a birthday party a few months ago, and now both boys love it.

Black Friday I got some random deals. I didn't really need gifts, so I took advantage of clothing sales and got pants for the kiddo, new tennis shoes for me, etc. Cyber Monday I got a new vacuum. Try and contain your jealousy

Last year on Black Friday a deal on the discontinued Dyson cordless vacuum was the one thing I was after. I was so excited to get the last one at the store.

I tried talking Sean into a Dyson, but after our surprise plumbing project a couple weeks ago - it was a no go:/ We did still get a nice, well rated vacuum and at this point - anything is a step up!

What are the Paw Patrol things that are out of stock?  I swear Walmart had a ton of Paw Patrol these past few weeks.

I bought Christmas cards with the Shutterfly 25% and free shipping.

Last week, I got the same Disney store stuff on sale and free shipping and also got Disney Lenox ornaments for the girls.  BBB, I had to order $50 worth of stuff to get free shipping on a $20 ornament so a bunch of things will be returned.

Last night at Kirklands, we picked up a bunch of home decorating items.  I really wanted to reorder them online for the extra 25% off but they were out of stock online.  We finally ordered a wreath for above our door...free shipping but no extra % off.

Who is Yia Yia and Gus?  I saw that ornament (we always get the 3 Pittsburgh ornaments from Wendell August every year) and was like "What is that?????"  I loved the Grandview and Market Square ones but have no idea who Gus and Yia Yia are?!?!?!

Right now UPS and Fedex are making nearly daily deliveries!

Gus & Yia Yia sell ice balls on the northside of Pittsburgh in West Park. They are a Pittsburgh institution.

Gus and Yia Yia's (well the original Yia Yia has passed and his wife is the "new" one) is the ice ball man in West Park. Gus is awesome, he ask about our family everytime we go.

If you have ever gone to the Aviary, he is right in front of the tennis courts. My dad grew up on Federal Street and my whole paternal family is from the North Side. My dad went as a kid and we started going when we were babies and I am almost 40. Seriously the best popcorn ever. It is one of my fondest memories growing up.  My mom bought us all the prints that the ornament is based on.

haha, I can't say I'm totally against it but it's probably not in the cards.  Plus, he is insisting that we name her Elsa so he might be disappointed if I veto that.

My kids picked out the same name for our baby.  With strict orders to "name it Elsa even if it's a boy".
