Help with wording...

My mom lost her mom about 5 years ago and she obviously misses her pretty hard at Christmas.  I found an old picture of my Grandma at Christmas (1950's) that I am putting on a shutterfly photo ornament.  There is room on the back to personalize it but I'm not sure what to write.  I just want to sneak the ornament onto my parents' tree.  I thought of just putting "Merry Christmas  Love, Mom"  Any thoughts?

Re: Help with wording...

  • What a nice idea, I'm sure your mom will appreciate it.

Maybe google some quotes on the loss of a loved one? Something like "Our loved ones are always with us..." if that makes sense. Good luck!

  • My mom bought me a wall sign that says, "Because someone we love is in Heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in our home."

    I love it.

  • I like AmyJoy's! I was looking for a grief quote recently and found this one from Winnie the Pooh that I really liked "how lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard"

  • AmyJoy's quote is great.  You could keep it simple and do her name and the year of the photo.  Other sayings: memories to cherish, memories to last a lifetime, always in our hearts.
  • Thank you all for your great suggestions!  Amyjoy, I think you are the winner!
