Pandora bracelet ?

My mom finally has given me some Christmas ideas, one of which was pandora type bracelet. She said it doesn't have to be that brand. I know nothing about them. Just browsing some online. What is a realistic cost to do something basic to start off? Any alternative brands to recommend?

She gave me a bunch of other ideas and I already have gotten a few things so I'm trying to decide if I really want to go down the road of the bracelet or keep with something else

My mom and sister both have the Pandora ones, the charms make for easy gifts. But it wasn't like they went out and started out with a full bracelet. I really don't know much about them though aside from having bought a few charms over the past couple years for gifts.

Yeah I was definitely thinking more like the bracelet and 1 charm to start. But some bracelets seemed pricey. I like that it would be easy gift ideas for later!

I would think Etsy would be a good place to get a bracelet and some charms, if she's not wedded to a particular brand, for a more reasonable price.

We also bought my mom one for Mother's Day a few years ago. The first one we got my mom, we got two charms, two stoppers (these are a must, they stop the charms from moving), and the sterling silver bracelet. The second one we got her was the bangle.

The gift sets are a good deal. I believe this is what we did the first time and added one more charm. Where you get expensive is the charms with gold on them. The glass ones are the cheapest but I am not a fan, so we usually stick to silver ones.

I have several Pandora Bracelets.  They do twice yearly deals where you buy so much (usually 100 bucks) and get a free bracelet.  There are never any discounts on charms. I even visited a Pandora Outlet in Rehoboth Beach last year and the discount was very small.  Occasionally you can snag a deal on a bracelet when someone resells on ebay from those deals. 

I adore my bracelets.  I actually started one for my daughter and add a charm for each birthday or special occasion.  

Like Kris, I'm not a big fan of the glass ones.  Mine are all silver or silver with gold accents.  

It took me a few years to fill my first bracelet.  Nothing wrong with wearing it with just a few charms while she builds her collection.

DH got me a Chamila bracelet the first mothers day with a charm. It is like a pandora. It is a easy gift for him each year to get me a new bead. I sort of enjoy adding to it.
