Re: Internet Provider

  • I have Verizon FiOS and love it. However, I have the works - phone, internet and cable. I am not sure if they do just internet. Also, depending on where you are, you may not have them as an option. Not all areas of Pittsburgh have it.
  • We have Comcast. I have never had any issues in the 15 years we've had them. I know I am rare though. Depending on where you live, you may be limited. My sister could only get Armstrong in their house, so they have Direct TV.

  • we have comcast, too, so I can't help much.  there have been times when i've not been happy with our service, but that seemed to be more of an ongoing issue in our old house...we've been in our new house for over 4 years with no real issues to speak of.  aside from the price gouging, but I feel like that's just standard for any cable services :(

  • We are switching to Verizon Fios this week.  They are new in our neighborhood and have a sweet deal on the bundle.  They are including a $400 gift card so our cancellation fee with Direct TV becomes a non-factor.  DH is very, very excited about the improvements we will get with internet speed and other features.
  • We switched from Comcast to Verizon Fios as soon as it was available in our area. I think it has been 3-4 years.

  • sweet thanks! We have had so many issues with comcast (mostly with customer service and their service techs) So i I want to cancel with them mostly out of spite! ha! I will look into Verizon, I know our house (in Wexford) also gets service with comcast and at least 2 others (although I can't rememver their names right now)

Probably Consolidated Communications which I think is CCI now and Armstrong. My sister hated Armstrong. We had Consolidated at work. We got rid of the internet and went with Comcast but we still have our phones through them. They are okay commercially I don't know about residential service
