Let's talk about "the voice"!

This week is going to drag by, trying to get some posts going on in here!!

Did anyone watch the voice finale last night?  who are you rooting for?

I have to pull for the Pittsburgh (and North Hills to boot!) guy, Chris....and I really do like him, so it's not just biased about his hometown and alma mater I've been saying for weeks now that I was going to tweet Adam Levine and insist that he let Chris do a Justin Timberlake song, so needless to say, when they announced "cry me a river" last night, I screamed "shut the front door!!!" to the TV.

If I had to pick someone else to win, it would be Matt....I loved, loved, loved his "blower's daughter" song last week, amazing. but last night, I thought he was just ok.

Matt is my favorite, and he has been all along.   So of course I want him to win.   Chris has gotten better as it's gone along, but I feel like he's missing that thing that  you either have or you don't.  Like when you sing Marvin Gaye, you should have the power to make girls underpants just fall right off.   He doesn't have THAT.  (But Adam Levine, for example, does).    Plus I feel like he's too nice and clean cut, I like my singers a little dirtier.  HA!  He is good though, and I'd be happy for a Pittsburgh guy if he won.   

I did say every time that CWB sang last night that if HE wins I'm going to be really pissed.  Like, really, pissed.

I am torn between Matt, who I think is super talented, and Chris, who I have extreme loyalty to because of his Pittsburgh/North Hills roots.  I think Matt is ready to start his music career full force, and I think Chris has come so far in the competition, but isn't quite as ready as Matt.  (I also have to say that I always love seeing how proud both of their moms look in the audience!  I guess I am now at that old age where I bond with the parents of the contestants.  lol!)

I think CWB is talented and will have success after the show, but country singers/songs are all kind of the same to me, so it would be hard for a country singer to stand out for me.  (And I don't know why, but CWB annoys me.)

Damien is also good, and can really sing/feel a song, but he kind of always sounds the same too.

Mostly, I was excited to see Adam perform so many times last night.

I agree with this. I really loved Matt's original song last night. I even contemplated buying it on iTunes. (of course I didn't actually do it, don't be silly) I love Chris though since we're NH alum and he was my sorority's sweetheart at his college. I'd honestly be happy if either of them won.

I think CWB and Damien are non factors in this (hopefully).

P.S. Why doesn't Damien get a last name? It's not like he has a super unique name that stands out.

And also Adam's version of Don't Let the Sun Go down on me with Damien.  Because it's one of my favorite songs and Adam is singing it.

No shame there, Amber! I meant I didn't actually buy it because I'm cheap as all and never buy things on iTunes. I wait for the cd to make it to the library. Lol!!

I really didn't get Matt up until last night but will also admit that I fast forwarded through most of his songs.  The hair & round glasses contrasted with the tattoos just confused me.  But his original song last night was really good.  I did like CWB's "rugged cross" a few weeks back & I bought it on itunes.  Somehow I think he will win b/c country artists always seem to win. 

But all my votes go to Chris Jamison - north hills proud!  My niece went to see him at Stage AE (she goes to North Hills now).  Although I admit I'm really not a fan of all the falsetto and those tight blue pants he had on last night doing his original song were not a good look.

Last - I didn't know that no Voice winner has even recorded an album & they kept talking  - what is up with that?

OMG, I was so pissed.  CWB seriously annoys me so much.

I did some funny tweets (since God forbid you post something in real time on FB), I think my favorite was "Congratulations to David Spade for winning The Voice!"  LOL!

I have to say I called that, I'm telling you country artists have huge fan bases.  Boy I bet Adam was pissed!

I think Ricky was robbed near the beginning anyway. He was my favorite. I also really liked Luke. Once they were gone I was rooting for Chris.

No contestant has ever recorded an album? Really? I know a couple of Blake's winners had songs on country radio. I guess they just recorded songs and not full albums?
