What gift are you most excited to give?

Is everyone done with their shopping?  I can't believe we're only 9 days away from Christmas!

For Liam, I'm most excited to give him the elusive Paw Patrol Skye figure with helicopter....it's the thing he wanted the most, and of course, the thing that was the hardest to find!  Thanks to everyone on here who was keeping an eye out for me, my mom was able to find it at TRU!!

It's technically for Jake & Liam (their main gift from santa), but I think Jake will be most excited...they're getting one of those combo sports tables that has air hockey, basketball, ping pong, fling football, and archery.  Now I just need to get Brian to put it together this weekend so that we're not up until 2am on Christmas Eve.

Re: What gift are you most excited to give?

  • Im mostly done. I don't have a ton to shop for thankfully! I just have a few little gifts to get for some aunts but I think I can knock that out in 1 stop this week.

I am excited to give dd her first American Girl dolls. She is getting a bitty baby and the girl of the year Isabelle. Only reason she is getting both is a great deal I got on the baby! But it's really the main things she wants so I'm sure she will be excited.

I got her a big 18inch doll dollhouse on sale from target. I don't think we will end up doing it for Christmas and will wait for her bday. But I'm pretty excited about that and have a whole to wait! I think she will love it but she hasn't ever seen a doll house that size so it's not something I think she will expect.

  • I'm most excited for Garrett to see his Buzz Light Year, Paw Patrol toys, and some random helicopter that he spotted in Walgreens a few weeks ago, and hasn't stopped talking about since.

For Mason, it's his pogo stick, telescope, and pokemon binder/cards.  Nothing too exciting, but these are the things they both keep talking about, so it will be fun to see their reaction.

Emmy - we got the boys a combo game table too!  Rich put it together this past weekend to make sure it wasn't missing any parts, and it didn't take him too long.  Ours also has basketball, and I think they will really be surpirsed to see it!

Rich asked for lots of boring stuff (snow pants, running shorts), so I bought him a Kindle (his recently broke) and a gift card to a brewery near our house.  I think he will be surprised and really like the gifts!

  • Meghan-glad to hear the table wasn't too bad to put together!! the part that worried me the most (and why I'll nag him this weekend) is exactly what you said, fear of it missing parts.  I think both sets of our boys will love it!!

  • I just have my in-laws left although I know what we are getting them I just have to pick evertything up.

I think I did really well with Nathan this year but I am most excited about the new masonic ring I had made for him. I think he is going to love it. And I got him a cast iron tea pot. Exciting but he will love it.

I got my nephew the elusive Minecraft Lego sets that he wanted(the farm and the cave), so I hope he loves them. He talked about the Farm one for 20 minutes and how Steve has a pumpkin head, and there is a sheep, cow, and pig. My parents are going to NC for his birthday this weekend and will take his gifts with them.

  • I've been picking up little things and then throwing it into my office upstairs, so at this point the only thing I remember for sure buying is knight rain coats and umbrellas for both of them.

I was making tutus for our school's handmaid holiday fair (I can't get over how talented the parents at school are, our stuff was amazing this year) and Jackson asked for a mickey mouse tutu, so I still need to make that for him. I hope he's excited for it

Our big present is surprising the kids with our Christmas trip, which I hope will be exciting for them. It'll be the first time they'll see all their cousins. The last time we saw Steve's sister's whole family was 2008. We saw his sister and niece at a 2012 wedding, but that was still two years ago.

  • I'm not done...but everything is figured out except for a present for DH. I have no ideas and I haven't had time to browse online. I may just end up buying things from his Amazon wish list. Unless I can find some good books at Barnes & Noble tomorrow.

The big thing I haven't done is taking the kids shopping to get him something, or something for anyone really. Bad mommy.

I think Heather is going to love the dollhouse, and Todd is going to love the rocket balloons. How much he loves his sled will depend on whether there is snow outside. ;-)

I always love giving professional pictures of the kids to everyone in our family. They are appreciated and I don't feel like I'm cluttering up anyone's home with more "things" they may or may not need.

  • I'm excited to give Logan his Planes toys and selfishly I'm excited to give him his new shoes because he really needs them. :)

I'm also excited to wrap formula for Ben, because Logan keeps telling Santa the only things he wants for Christmas are "toy Dusty" and food for Ben.

  • I'm pretty well done, just odds and ends (gift bags, a couple minor stocking stuffers). And I need to now wrap, wrap, wrap.

Excited to give  for the kiddo would be any of the Frozen stuff she will be getting. For DH it'll be a Pens throwback hoodie he was drooling over but thinks he's not getting. And then my most random is a honey badger mug for my dad - he always cracks up over the honey badger to this day ;)

  • I have to go to the toy store in town to pick up one game that Keefer keeps talking about but other than that, I'm done.  I do have some more wrapping to do.

I'm excited to give DH the sunglasses I bought him.  I got him a pair of Oakley's and I think he will be very surprised.  I'm excited to give Keefer the MarioKart8 racetrack...he didn't ask for that one in particular...he wanted some racetrack that you have to use your cell phone to operate...but I think he's going to love the one I got instead.

  • I think I'm mostly done.  I want to get something else small for Noah.

I'm excited to give the kids their big gifts - Noah is getting a kindle fire and Brody is getting this giant dinosaur Transformer.  I think they'll both be excited that Santa brought them.
  • The girls are getting pretty cool Elsa and Anna dolls.  I think they are going to love them!  We are also giving our families the gift of reveling the sex of our baby.  I'm going to sneak an ornament onto my parents' and the inlaws trees and make everybody hunt for the answer.

  • Hi ladies! Where is the time going? 9 days left...it sounds like everyone is doing well with their shopping, though.

I'm almost done - a couple of gift cards for my parents and a family gift for my brother's family, and that's about it. It has been a bit hectic keeping everything straight because Sean's birthday is tomorrow and then my nephew has his bday on the 27th.

Gavin's 3DS was accidentally microwaved (thanks to Sean) and so we decided to get Conall a 2DS (which can play the 3DS games) and Gavin a "beginner" tablet (Walmart had an RCA tablet on sale for around $60 two weeks ago) since he likes to play Mahjong on mine. Those are probably the gifts I'm most excited about to give them.

Then, Santa is bringing the boys two remote-controlled boats (and a floating one for Sean). Since it's too cold to swim, but we don't cover the pool down here, this will be fun for them, I think!

DH and I decided to forgo gifts for each other this year since we had an expensive year with buying the house, a trip to NY and a trip to Ireland. He's getting a new ND shirt from the boys, but that's it. :)

    My three sons!

  • Nolan gets excited about EVERYTHING he opens, so I'm just excited for him to open all of his presents.  I think he'll really like the Imaginext Castle Dragon we got him (he got the castle for his birthday--Thanks for the suggestion sundaygirl!  It was a hit :-)

Also his bow and arrows.  He's been walking around the house with a plastic clothes hanger for weeks, drawing it back and then saying "yeah, got a big buck" or "Ah, missed him".

Brinley REALLY wanted this Doggie Daycare playset she saw in a toy catalog.  It was kind of pricey for some plastic figurines, but she's talked about it non-stop, so I expect she'll play with it all day.  She also wanted Barbie's little sister Chelsea/pony set, which apparently they don't make anymore, because it's ridiculously priced on Amazon, so I ended up getting her the whole Barbie Pony Tale set, 4 horses/4 dolls.  I think she's going to flip.

DH and I decided to do small/useful presents this year.  I'm personally excited to give him new bed pillows, because one will end up on my side of the bed.

  • For the girls its their American Girl dolls.  I think Keira will be really excited b/c its her first plus the pony & accessories.  Of course she will be excited about the fur real dog as well.

For Caileigh I don't think she expects another doll so that and the spa accessories.  She may be more excited at the Taylor Swift calendar  :P

For Eamon not sure b/c all he wanted was a spider man book, toys and big bad hook shirt (hulk).  I think he'll really like the batman transformer thing - i know I'm excited to play with it!

  • DD1 is so excited for a hair dryer and electric toothbrush...no lie....she said she'd be "sad if Santa didn't bring it because she didn't want a lot of toys because I know Santa is busy bringing toys for kids who don't have a lot of toys so I would just love for a hair dryer and electric toothbrush."

She just makes my heart sing...

DD2 is kinda getting the idea of Christmas but at age 2, is just going with what her sister says.
