WTF self - GET IT TOGETHER!  Monday I dropped my soup all over the kitchenette at work.  Lucky my pregnant CW had an extra protein bar.  Today I was trying to get everything I needed in my new car (post coming soon) that I forgot my work bag with my lunch, coffee and water.  I'm meeting H for lunch at my favorite restaurant. 

 

Also, WTF to parents and H.  Why is it everyone has a "buddy" when watching E, but when I get home everyone leaves or goes takes a nap.  So I'm starving, trying to get dinner ready while tending to a cranky kid.  I think I'm going on dinner strike.  Either someone helps me, or fend for yourself... I have and will live off pb sandwiches if I have to.

WTF, I'm so bored at the new job.

I guess I'm super speedy because I got thoigh all my orientation stuff in 1 day. It was supposed to take a week, lol! So, now they're scrambling to find stuff for me to do because they weren't planning on having me do anyhing until next week. I've been asking for stuff to do, today I got to make a whole spreadsheet! It took me 30 min and now I sit and wait for someone to figure out what to do with me again.

They knew I was starting, you'd think they'd have a plan of what to do with me???

@brainybrunette - happened to me when I started here.  1. I didn't have computer access for 2 weeks 2. no clearance no work... I don't think I got steady work for 3 months.  hang in there, it got better for me, I hope it does for you!  Bring a book.  I was so bored I'd plan when I'd get up and walk around.  Like I started at 7, I'd go to the bathroom at 8, refill my water bottle at 9, bathroom 10.... etc

Haha. I've been planning my day the same way. Go to the kitchen to make tea, go to the bathroom, etc etc. I've contemplated making paper clip statues!

I start at 8, but I got here at 7:30 this morning because H and I take metro together and he had to be to work a bit earlier today. I read the newspaper and checked email for a 1/2 hour because no one was here yet.

In a minor tie in with my wtf moment for today, how soon is too soon to call after turning in an application?

WTF BBQ potato chips.  Why are you so delicious?  WTF self.  Why did you buy those delicious chips?

My Wtf is late but it has to be said...WTF customer at work last night?  She got all bent out of shape because the chips she bought rang in at 10 cents higher than the shelf price.  It's our policy to correct the price and give it to the customer for the advertised one.  But she started going on about how we have to follow the scanning code of practice because it's the LAW and give her the item for free.  The poor cashier is a 17 year old girl who offered the customer the adjusted price and a meeting with the owner the next day to discuss it.  The customer got borderline aggressive and demanded to be given the chips for free right away.

Since I'm the supervisor on that shift I quickly rang them in for free and apologized but the customer left still angry.  The cashier was so upset and the other customers were visibly uncomfortable. I'm annoyed that that woman was getting so hostile over ten freakin cents!
