Help me pick-Sharp Objects or Dark Places

Hi pretties!

I am unable to make the most basic decisions on my own, and so I beseech you.

I read and loved Gone Girl, and I can't decide what order to read Sharp Objects and Dark Places.

Normally, I'd just go by pub date, but I get the sense that one is agreed upon as the weaker of the two, and it might be best to read that one first, so I can finish with another great one?

I'm so weird.

Anyway, I like dark/sad, so I'm not worried about the content or endings.

For those of you who've read both, care to chime in?

HAPPY FRIDAYYYYYY!

  • I think I'm in the minority here, but I liked Sharp Objects more than Dark Places.  I read Gone Girl first, then Dark Places then Sharp Objects.  They are definitely both dark and I felt like Dark Places was the sadder of the two, Sharp Objects was more creepy/strange to me.

  • I liked Dark Places best. I figured out what was going on in Sharp Objects way too early for me to have enjoyed it very much.
