WBC: Post about a NF book "You'd Be So Pretty If..."
For the 'March 16th is National Freedom of Information Day, read a non-fiction book and I post about it challenge, I read You'd Be So Pretty If...Teaching Our Daughters to Love their Bodies-Even When We Don't Love Our Own by Dara Chadwick. I picked this book up because I hoped there might be some useful information to help me to help my daughter with her self-esteem as she gets older. Unfortunately, there wasn't any new information (that I hadn't already heard)in this book, most of it was basic common sense and a lot of it was anecdotal. So it was just kind of meh for me.
