Around the World in 80 Books- What Alice Forgot (sp)
I saw someone mention that this was their favorite book of 2014 and that it really stayed with them. So when I saw it on the list, I read it without looking into it much.
I liked how the story developed, that while reading, bits and pieces of the truth regarding Alice, Nick, and Gina came out but it was not until the end that everything was clear. I also thought it was refreshing that Alice and Nick's almost-divorce was not a result of cheating. That does not seem to happen in many books these days and I really don't enjoy books about cheating.
But what caught my attention more was the story of Alice's sister, Elizabeth, and her difficulty having a baby. I just kept thinking that there was no way I would have been able to handle reading a book about miscarriages this fall after having my own. I probably would have put this book down and never picked it back if I had tried to read this book sooner. I guess timing is everything, because I really did enjoy this book. I gave it 4 stars on GR.
