Getting Pregnant
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

How did you know you were ready?

What were the factors in your life that led you to feel ready to start trying to have your first child? Or if you haven't started yet, what boxes are you hoping to check off before you begin to try?

Perhaps tangible/practical items like making a certain amount of money, owning a house, traveling or finishing a degree - but I'm also curious about intangible things. Were you or your partner hoping for a certain feeling? A certain nebulous alignment of events in your life?

Now that you've started TTC (or are pregnant/have a child), do you feel like the factors you considered were the "right" ones? Anything you feel was silly to have considered? Anything you wish you'd considered but didn't occur to you at the time?
