Weekly Dinner Menu 1/25/15

I have leftovers of beef stew and tilapia, so I don't have to cook much this week.

Tonight I'm going to make White Wine Braised Chicken
Monday leftovers
Tuesday.  We're expecting a huge snow storm, so I'm going to work from home, which mean I can cook something that takes a while.  Making Tuscan Bean Soup
The rest of the week is leftovers.

Hehehe, I know you're not from snow country because you said "y'all"!

Apparently the predictions were way off for most places, although we're only about half way through the storm and we have 22" right now and blizzard conditions still.
  • Lol! Guilty as charged @BlueBirdMB‌. I'm from GA, but DH and I are moving to north Ohio in about 3 weeks!! I will keep saying "y'all" forever, even if I live in the north for the rest of my life

How are you making out?!  They were predicting 18-24' for us and we wound up with 2'.......it was a complete bust for our area.  Hope you guys are ok!

  • We had about 2 inches of snow, 18-24 was predicted.  But I sure enjoyed my snow day at home.  Stay warm and safe @BlueBirdMD

  • We ended up with the jackpot- 30"!  I stayed home all day and did a bunch of virtual work.  No one really lost power, so that's good.  My first half of today was canceled, but the roads are pretty good now.

What kills me is that we just got 6" Saturday, we're getting another storm Friday and another storm Monday!  We're making up for all the nice weather we've had this winter.
  • Holy cow! Y'all stay safe and warm.

Moving to Ohio will be a huge change for me. DH's dad was in the Air Force, so he has moved a lot, and he has lived in snowy places for about half of his life. I have always lived in the South, but I'm ready for an adventure. I like the idea of Ohio and everything it has to offer. I hope we like it there. I'm nervous to move, but I hope it will turn out fine!

Ouch!!!!  We had 6 inches from that earlier storm too!  Glad it seems you guys are recovering nicely.  I heard about the snow for Friday and Monday too :(    I keep telling my DH we need to eventually retire to a place that doesnt have snow or at least very little of it.

You have a great attitude!!!  There are always plus and minuses to each climate area!  I hope you love it!

I hear Ohio is really nice.  The people I know who live there live in gorgeous houses that are super reasonably priced.  Have fun on your life adventure!
  • Thanks! I really appreciate all of these good thoughts! It means a lot to me :)
