Super Bowl Menu

I don't really care about football...I never have! I do watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and to eat all the wonderful food that people bring.

What is on your Super Bowl menu? Do you have any "lucky" foods or traditions that help your team win?

Re: Super Bowl Menu

  • I hate football, but we always do something for Super Bowl.

Last year it was at our house and I made:
    and

    plus various chips and dips.

Here's our issue, we're GF, so pizza doesn't do it for us.  This year we're going to someone's house, so I'm trying to find something that could be a main course, would be super bowl appropriate, wouldn't need to be reheated, and GF.
    Thinking this:
  • @BlueBirdMB‌ minus the cilantro that recipe sounds amazing! What about doing a fish dip with GF crackers or veggies?

DH is making hot wings, and I'm making a family tradition that doesn't have a name. You get a block of cream cheese, cut in half so that you have two pieces of cream cheese that are the same size as the original block but are skinnier (cut the block down the width). Lay the two halves next to each other on a plate. Cut up imitation crab meat into small cubes and put over top of cream cheese. Spread cocktail sauce over top. Eat with crackers (we use Triscuits).

Other people are bringing dishes too, but I'm not sure what.

  • I've considered doing a seafood dip that can be heated up in the microwave well.  It tastes great with tortilla chips.  That dip sounds good, GABride!
  • We are going to my friends house, i lamely offered to bring the pigs in a blanket, i was having no inspiration for a dish ANDDDD i feel like that's a staple dish that some people forget about when trying to come up with something fancy.

Other dishes people are bringing so far
    Fried Chicken
    Buffalo Chicken dip
    Mini meatballs
    Chicken Alfredo Bites

  • We are not football fans, but do enjoy the food.   I'll be making black bean salsa/dip to bring with us, and some corn chips to go with it.

Its quick and easy, but most likely I will be at work in the morning, so this will be perfect.

  • H is working and I don't care for football. I'm debating watching the game for the commercials/half time show or watching something completely girly.
