Warm thoughts! Bathing suit suggestions

Between the surgery scars, the stretch marks, and remaining baby flub, I don't think the bikini will be making a return this summer. That being said, anyone have any cute 1 piece suggestions?

Re: Warm thoughts! Bathing suit suggestions

  • I'm a HUGE fan of Lands End suits. I have a halter top and a swim mini bottom (little skirt - but a cute skirt). The tank comes down over the belly and hides any, um, imperfections. I've had mine for a few years and am thinking of getting another now:)
  • I think you should try to find this suit, because I'm pretty much obsessed with it:

Lands end suits are great! Personally I prefer tankini to 1

I have this from years ago in a smaller polkadot

I got this one last year and really like it

I also have this 1 piece in dark purple

It's gorgeous but I just realize I hate 1 pieces in general! Plus it doesn't really have padding in the bust and I need that!!

I also have a few bikinis from there too. I have a lot of suits from there now, ha! I like some of their styles a lot and they hold up so well. I'm very petite so the tankinis have needed a little alteration but are perfect now. I don't generally buy bottoms from there since they run big and I don't usually like the styles. But I do have a couple bottoms from there too.

  • This is supposed to be flattering and awesome.  I've been thinking about getting one for a few years now and just haven't.
  • That's a super cute suit, Amber!

This suit is supposedly super cute from the front but from the back it is a huge old mess of unflattering. Although it was crazy popular on GBCN and it is cheap.

I am another Lands End fan. I have a suit similar to Gwen's.

I have this top but they don't seem to make my bottom anymore. It is a swim mini, but they changed them. I also have the regular bikini bottom.

I also have a blue and white striped halter top (identical to that one) with a navy bikini bottom.

  • Another Lands End fan! I have a tankini and one piece tunic (kind of similar to the suit Amber posted). The friends and family sale is going on now too. (30% off)

Check out ModCloth.  I think I saw something similar there.  Also, I got something similar at Old Navy a few years ago.   But, on the flip side, the ON one did NOT hold up very well.
  • The one Kris posted is identical to mine (same as hers - they don't have my swim mini anymore - but I love the coverage that type provides).

I'm actually getting the one Amber posted after seeing it (I opted for the black with the red/white dots) - you inspired me to do something warm! :)
  • Also, one note of caution...I realize I'm older than you, so you might not have this problem yet, but I need a little more support up top lately.  I have a one piece with a top similar to the one Kris posted and it has no support at all.   And well, the girls aren't as perky as they used to be, so it's not the best look for me and my big saggy boobs.   ;)
  • I was going to add that I have no chest so I know that the halter is not for everyone but since they are LE is mix and match they have tons of options. You can even shop by cup size.

seriously!  I need underwire and some lift! :)

I had a nice lands end tankini & bottom for about 2+ years and it served me well but wore out last year.

  • Try Hapari Swimwear.  They have a lot of different selections.  I have a tankini with an underwire from there.
