Oscars fashion -- your favorites?

I'm still not on board with Monday.

Favorites: Dakota Johnson, Sophie Hunter, Jennifer Hudson, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, and Anna Kendrick

Misses: Keira Knightley, Felicity Jones, JARED LETO, John Travolta (what was up with that chain?), J. Lo and Julianne Moore.

Re: Oscars fashion -- your favorites?

  • Our lists are pretty much the same.  I will add:

Favorites: Sienna Miller, I also loved the color of Scarlett Johannson's dress, but not that weird thing around her neck, and of course my husband, Adam Levine, looked dashing as usual.

    Misses: Marion Cotillard

I LOVED Lady Gaga's performance, and I also enjyed the acceptance speeches this year.

  • I didn't really watch much of the actual show, but I looked at some of the fashions online.

Hits - Scarlet Johansson (despite the overkill necklace), Reese Witherspoon, Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone

Misses (lots of them!) - JLo, Lady Gaga, Oprah, Faith Hill, Jared Leto (WTF??), Solange Knowles, Marion Cotillard

Was the Oscars theme "Let 'em all hang out?"

  • Anyone else think Neil Patrick Harris was just not funny.  I don't know who his writers were but boy they didn't do him any favors.  The whole "you could eat this next presenter "with her spoon" made me cringe & his bits in the aisle just fell flat.  I think he messed up something with Steve Carrell & then he messed up David Oyelowoo's name & intro'd him as a nominee.  No wonder Oprah looked pissed. The locked suitcase, give it up!  Couldn't you tell from the start Octavia Spencer wanted nothing to do with it?  Aside from the opening (Anna Hendrick's voice shocked me & I saw Pitch Perfect) I thought he was just bad.  And I had no idea that his underwear stunt was a Birdman imitation but just made me cringe - ugh.

  • I didn't watch, but I did see this morning that 2 of my celeb BFFs are actually friends in real life (so much so that they pinch each other's a$$ on the red carpet)....how can I wedge my way into this friendship????  I love you, Jen & Reese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
