I'm going to guess it was pre-2008.  Noah was still really small and I guess I was extra sensitive to people saying that anyone could be a SAHM if they tried hard enough and really, really wanted it. You know, just cut cable and clip coupons and voila!, you could stay home!   I can't remember her screen name, but she had a Himalayan cat as her siggie pic.  

She said something like what I posted above, and I went off.  That opened the floodgates and it was a giant pile on.  Similar to ancient times, she was run off by the pitch fork wielding masses.

I definitely thought of this post recently  since i am requesting a ring with cecily's birthstone in it.  I would never call it a push present though - at least not out-loud!  Also, my birthday is coming up, so it can "count"  for that!  (look at me reopening the debate!)
