Mom Groups?

Ladies, I am about to venture into the world of being a stay at home mom. 

I'm scared out of my mind.

How do you find activities or local mom groups?  I am completely clueless.

I will be toting around a 3 year old and an infant come the spring/summer.

This place has been lots of fun for us! Lots of kids and everyone seems pretty friendly! It is hard to really hold a conversation with my crazy 18 month old running around but it is a good start and pretty local. Obviously not too great for meeting moms with itty bitty babies but there are plenty of moms babywearing while the big kids play:

I'm a nanny and to maintain sanity have to have a daily game plan and not be home longer than 3 hour increments lol. One of my favorites are the local libraries, there are multiple branches, depending on your location, that offer varying activities--weekly storytime, crafts, open play, sing a longs, etc. Considering the winter weather, another good option are the mall play areas, pet stores and barnes and noble as well, are all great options for toddlers. And this area has so much to offer, both the city and suburbs.
