WIJFR: The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
I had never read any Sherry Thomas before picking up
The Burning Sky, but apparently, she's written many a romance novel. I never would have guessed that to be her native genre.
The Burning Sky, which is epic fantasy, is excellent and so entertaining. I loved it! The beginning is just a little bulky because of the worldbuilding, but the two main characters are complicated and dynamic and pull the reader in. There's a tiny taste of romance, but mostly it's a kick ass story about two young people trying to throw off their world's conquerors, while hiding out at Eton College, London, England 1883.
It's part one of three parts, the third of which is due in October.
