Pediatric dermatologist recommendations

Ben needs to go see a pediatric dermatologist and I've been a bit more proactive researching doctors lately. I wanted to see if you ladies have anyone you like instead of just jumping to the person my pediatrician recommended. I didn't see my normal pediatrician this visit and after looking online I'm not overly comfortable with her recommendation. Any suggestions would be great!

Re: Pediatric dermatologist recommendations

  • We only had to go once, because DD was having some unexpected hair loss when she was 3.5/4ish, but the overall experience with Dr. Kress in Wexford was really great.

It didn't take forever to get her in, there was not a long wait time.  The staff was great and they really seem to know their stuff.  If we had a need in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

  • We take dd to Children's dermatology Services in Wexford for her vitiligo.  The staff is really great there (I've never been to a branch of Children's hospital that wasn't great with kids though).

  • Another vote for Dr. Kress and Gehris at Children's Derm in Wexford.  Both kids are seen regularly for eczema.  Dr. Gehris is my preference.

  • Caileigh saw Dr Gehris years ago & it was fine.  It was a teaching practice so I just remember there were like 5 people in the room looking at her arm rash
