Real or Artificial Turf

Spring is around the corner and we are thinking about renovating our front yard. Which is better real or artificial turf?

I have artificial turf in my yard right now and it's been great! I don't ever have to worry about watering and for the most part it looks pretty good as long as you choose something that looks more organic. Here's more info on more organic looking artificial turf.

My husband and I have talked about it and if we could afford it we would do artifical. The idea of never having to mow it, no weeds, not having to fertilze, and always having a green lawn seems amazing. We wouldn'd be able to do it in our backyard because we have dogs who have a tendency to dig.

It all depends on your budget. However, I prefer real because I love the smell of fresh cut grass. I also have dogs who like to dig so artificial wouldn't really be in our best interest.

Real vs. fake, never really much of a choice to me. There is just something...well, unnatural about a plastic lawn. But...to each his own.
