Putting meat on his bones
We found a dog (yea!) that will work stupendously with our cat. The problem is that he was a bit neglected at the Chicago shelter, and his ribs and hip bones can be seen under his skin. How do we fatten this boy up? He needs to gain about 10-20 pounds, according to the foster.
Re: Putting meat on his bones
I would start by transitioning him from what he is currently eating to a quality kibble. The vet will be able to give you an idea of what to feed, how much to feed, and what his weight should be.
Good luck!
