Speaking of Easter...

I have nothing for the boys' Easter basket this year.  We usually do one summer/out door gift every year, but I'm not coming up with any ideas this year.  (We've done a basketball hoop, picnic table, soccer net, etc.)  Other than that, we'll do candy, books, small toy/game, and new bathing suits.  I also ordered them some crocs from Zulily over 2 weeks ago, but they haven't shipped yet (annoying).

Candy will be bought at the last minute so I don't eat it all!

Is anyone doing anything fun or special for their baskets?

  • I'm not sure yet either!!  I also usually do the outdoor thing, but I feel like they don't need anything this year in that department.  I may get them each one of these Snackeez cups...does anyone have them for their kids?  We were at my BFFs over the weekend and she had them for her boys, I think mine would love it:

Emmy, My MIL bought the Snackeez for the boys at Thanksgiving. They loved them, but managed to somehow destroy the straws on both of them, rendering them fairly useless.

I found a really nice clearance scooter at the Target after christmas sales, and decided to save it for Easter for Jackson. He outgrew his old scooter, so the bunny is bringing a large gift this year. Michael is getting his old scooter, plus some paw patrol loot.

  • Bummer about the straw, Lisa! :(

Forgot to add, I think I'll get them a copy of Big Hero 6, too, they both loved that movie.

  • Is the straw fixed or does it come out? If it comes out you could probably replace it with the Starbucks travel tumbler ones.

  • Santa brought my boys Snackeez for Christmas.  They love them!  The straw is removable, so you could replace it if they chew it.  (Brody has chewed his, but it's still usable at this point).
  • The girls are each getting a thermos funtainer water bottle and a fishing pole, a couple of snack/treat things and a shirt.  I normally do bathing suits, but I was really iffy on sizing this year.  I don't want to have to explain how you can return the Easter bunny's gift to Carter's.

  • Mason and Garrett love their snackeez!
  • So far I picked up squirt guns, more bubbles, a gardening set/gloves (we're attempting vegetables this year), a package of Frozen socks, a couple small books/coloring books from the target dollar bin and then some sarris candies (a bag of gummies and a couple flat chocolate eggs). Nothing big but I think she'll enjoy it:)

A couple Monster High dolls, books, coloring books, flower seeds, some candy/snacks. Anna and Elsa dresses (like real dresses not costume). I just ordered them on sale for $5 each from Kohls the other day. If they make it this week they are going in the basket.

Nothing too exciting from Easter bunny. I did make dd a Cinderella dress though (like the one in the new movie). I wasnt impressed with what was in stores and felt like giving it a try. It's not perfect but I think it's way more awesome than the store ones. And with leftovers I made one for her American girl doll. I wanted to take the credit so it's an Easter present from me!

  • We don't do big gifts for the kids for Easter.  So far I picked up:
    • Small lego sets ($5.00 ones)
    • Kinetic Sand from 5 below
    • Straw cups
    • Bubbles
    • Sidewalk chalk

I'll get some candy and possibly an outfit for each--but I think both kids will be able to wear a majority of their clothes from last year.  So maybe sandals will be a better gift.
