Kindling the Moon (potential sp)
Did anyone else finish? I know
@SnShne322 is almost done.
Overall, I liked it and am thinking about picking up the next one.
Re: Kindling the Moon (potential sp)
I liked it! It was a quick, entertaining read. I like Cady a lot. I wasn't sure how I felt about Lon in the beginning, but he really grew on me. I was reading another book at the same time on audio about a 24 year old and a 40 year old. I don't have a problem with it, but I didn't like the older male character in the other book, so I think it colored my view. With Lon it was done so much better. He seemed youthful, yet worldly while the other author just kept reminding me how he was graying.
I didn't particularly like the sacrificial ritual that her parents did, but I think it leaves her far more independent and is going to make her a stronger character. I'm not sure if I understood this right. Did she give her parents to the demon and the demon was going to kill them? I didn't know how she was going to get around killing them herself since they were just going to keep trying to come after her, but it still made me feel weird. the only consolation was that they would have died by the Luxe either way, so dead is dead?
