I woke up last Saturday with half of my face partly paralyzed. It turns out I have Bells palsy, so it will probably get better, but I can't close my left eye without a ton of effort. It doesn't even close when I blink. I've been trying to find the whole thing amusing, but today it was sunny and extremely windy, and not being able to squint just made me incredibly tired.

My new medication started today and the dosage distribution is different (stronger dose but less frequent) and I am so frickin tired today because of it!

Also, the website www.23andme.com has now added raw DNA data to my profile and I really want to find a geneticist someone who can read this shit and tell me what it means.

Already done! My blood has been put through the ringer this week, but all they've come up with is a low level of Vitamin D.

Sorry, I'm being vague.  I'm just not sure how much I should really write out.  They've been making me a lot of promises and not delivering on them.  I just feel like I have no one in my corner here.  The people who anyone else in the company would bring this up are the people who made this happen, so I'm kind of stuck.  I unfortunately need to accept it and move on.  I've given this place 12, almost 13 years and have gone to these people's houses for family events.  I don't deserve special treatment or anything, but I'm feeling a little displaced. 

That and the fact that 90% of my professional career has been here makes me feel really out of the loop.  Time to get back in the loop.

Aw, @SnShne322, that stinks. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this. Could it be time to look elsewhere, if that is an option?

I'm not sure exactly what happened but something happened to me that made me feel the same way at my last position.  I was there for 7 years, right out of college, and I was promised quite a bit and then had it taken away in a very unprofessional way.  Looking for a new job was so hard but now that I'm somewhere new, I am ecstatic.  I know it's hard but you can do it.
