Re: Baptism Gift

  • We usually just give money with an engraved (religious themed)piggy bank, picture frame, or keepsake box. I'll also sometimes get a children's prayer book or bible.
  • Ditto Meghan. We are good parents to my niece and gave her $$ and I stopped in a religious store and got a little keepsake precious moments keepsake box. I also think those memory keepers from paper coterie are great.... but it appears they are no longer in business. :(
  • lordy can't type.... GOD parents not good parents. Ha.
  • Jared is Logan's Godfather and he got him a really nice cross. You can shoot Teri a message and see where they got it.

  • Congratulations!  I go with cash for most occasions.  Picture frame may be a good option since it can be used for a baptism photo.
  • We got an engraved Noah's ark piggy bank from Things Remembered for our God son.

  • i have given cash plus bible with name in it & then for christmas I give a godchild ornament every year, same style so she can keep on her tree.  I also give different bible story books.

  • My SIL (DD's godmother) offered to pay for her baptismal gown as her gift. If that is out - then it sounds like you've gotten some other good suggestions:)

Well, they are going to try to fit him into the gown we(my mom included) were all baptized in. I am doubting Sir Chunk is going to fit considering he is 20 lbs at 5 mon. and wears a 9-12 months, sometime 12-18. Maybe I will propose this. My mom is going to try the gown on this weekend.

I think I will go with a nice piggy bank.
