Re: Weekly Dinner Menu 4/12

  • Sunday I made an awesome GF chicken parm
    Monday: leftovers
Tuesday: leftovers from dinner out Saturday.  We ordered WAY too much food :P
    Wednesday: cilantro lime shrimp
    Thursday: leftovers
Friday: roast chicken with tomatoes and olives
Saturday: my parents house for dinner
  • I haven't meal planned at all this week. DH and I are just playing it by ear. I'm sure we will make pizza sometime this week. We will either have hamburgers or tacos tomorrow.

@chrisnjay05212010 what does Swiss chard taste like?

  • @GABride2010- its very bitter! I'm not a fan by my DH loves it.  It has these use green leaves with purple veins/stems.  Sometimes if i cant find swiss chard i just use spinach to make it

  • Hmm...what do you do to it to counteract the bitterness? Is there a certain way to prepare it?

  • The recipe i have is to saute it with garlic, red pepper flakes and oil and you let the leaves/stems cook down a bit. then you toss it into cooked penne with some parm cheese.
