A month ago I asked all of you for T&Ps for my nephew. He stayed in NICU for 48 hours after he was born on an antibiotic. There was meconium in the amniotic fluid before he was born. He went home with fluid in his lungs but was going to be monitored closely. They also found holes in his heart, but they said those holes should heal themselves.
He went back to the hospital at about 2 1/2 weeks old because his breathing declined. He stayed two more nights in the hospital and was sent home with oxygen and a steroid to help his lungs heal. He's had some appointments and is doing better but is going to be on oxygen for a while. Thing are looking up but he still needs t&ps. I've been going over there everyday and sitting with him while my sister picks up her daughter from preschool. It's been fun to spend time with him, I'll be getting him for daycare when my sister goes back to work so it's good bonding time.
DH's grandpa is on hospice, DH is doing ok with this information. We have some other crazy stuff going on but I'll post about that in WTF Wed tomorrow.

AWE what a rough start to life, but I'm glad he's making improvements! Sorry to hear about H's gpa.
