decorating help- counter stools

we recently moved in to our new house. part of the kitchen has a 2 seat island in it. i think saddle stools would work best b/c we could easily tuck both under the table and out of the way until we need to use them. problem is it is nearly impossible to find them in this cherry wood color...  i ordered some that said they were cherry finish and they were more of a walnut. i'm mostly seeing oak, walnut brown or black.  if we got stools with backs on them i could probably get the color to match better but i'm not sure if that would be the best idea b/c the chairs might take up too much space.... 

any thoughts or ideas of what might look good here and can be tucked under?  i'm horrible with decorating.

I would go with black, then you aren't trying to match, just accent.

My mom's cabinets are very similar and she has stools from Arhaus that match pretty well but they aren't online so I don't know if they are still available.

I agree matching might be too hard and black would work. Have you checked pier 1? We had a hard time finding stools for our kitchen. We wanted backless but liked a padded seat. I think ours are the mason backless counter stools at pier 1. They look a little different color wise online than ours. Ours are black padded seat and the wood is a dark brown but hint of red. It doesn't match exactly but I feel it goes with our kitchen well. With having the top black you don't see the wood as much.
