What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Tonight- Homemade pizza with H, drinks with some girlfriends as a quasi-bachelorette event

Saturday- Volunteering at church fair for a couple hours then watching my niece so my sister can volunteer unencumbered. Blues hockey and grilling in the evening.

  • Tonight-Day one of obedience class! Pup needs some manners :-)

    Tomorrow-Diving with some friends

Sunday-Church, then a paid dive class in the PM
  • Tonight - Yoga, then dinner and some shopping. My dad asked me to go to the Apple Store and check out the new MacBook and let him know if I think he should get one.

Tomorrow - Kickboxing class in the AM, then depending on the weather we might go to the Renaissance Festival. Otherwise it will be a Netflix day :)

Sunday - Going to a music festival downtown with a friend. We bought tickets awhile ago but they're calling for thunderstorms so hopefully it won't be too bad.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

  • Tonight - dinner out with a friend
Saturday - DD has dance class in the morning, I need to pack her suitcase for her stay at the grandparents and tidy up the house/laundry.

  • Tonight: picked up my children early from MIL, went to a park where my sick son basically laid out in the fresh air until he decided it was time to go home.

Saturday: Hopefully getting my Birkenstocks that is my Christmas present that I told my wife that we could wait until spring to get.  Need to work out at YMCA.  Babysitting SIL while in laws go to the theater.

    Sunday: Church and laundry.
  • Tonight: out to dinner with H. We have t seen each other in about a week or so.

Tomorrow: hopefully making it to Lowe's to start my container garden. It's my first year without a yard for growing my veggies, so I hope it goes as planned.

Sunday: laundry, grocery shopping, meal prep.

Overall, a pretty low key weekend. I'm pretty excited about that! H leaves town again on Monday, so I'm happy to have some down time together.
  • Last night we worked on cleaning out the garage

Today I'm up early for a run, then going to a large mom to mom garage sale. Then it's working in the garage and yard all afternoon, and a fireman fundraiser dinner tonight.

  • Yesterday- We saw Dracula the Musical

Today- I am taking three girls to an over night confrence for students of color. White students were not invited and white chaperones were discouraged so I am sure a 23 year old white woman is not who they will be expecting. It is parents weekend at our school so we had nobody else to take them. Hopefully it goes okay. I am bringing tons of homework to do since I wont be invited to many of the activities.

Tomorrow- Conference all day. Should be back by 7pm.

Monday- Day off to do cleaning and spend time with H!

  • Last Night: Pizza night with the kiddos. Then, I stayed up super late and read and then finished a great book (Once an Arafat Man by Tass Saada).

Saturday: DH comes home from a trip, so I'll probably go outside and work on the stone paver steps I'm repositioning in our backyard.

Sunday: Singing in church then lunch at Chipotle. Then, resting and maybe some ironing and other home chores.

It still hasn't hit me that we are leaving Monday morning.  I am excited but nervous.  The worst part is leaving our baby girl for a week.  I'm afraid something will happen and we won't be here.  I've let the grandparents know of our hospital/UC preference and I will be packing her health ins card.  I've also added MIL to our safe deposit box at the bank because that's where we keep our wills.  I'm nuts!  We have scheduled a shuttle to pick us up at our house 4:15am on Monday and drop us at the airport.  I also need to get some moisturizer with SPF in it, I heard you are closer to the sun in the Caribbean.

  • Pretty low-key for us.  Last night we walked to get pizza (there's a really neat shopping area about a mile from our house, that we try to walk to every day), and then split a bottle of wine H got from work

Today, we're going to meet H's family for lunch - BBQ for his birthday.  After that, I'm hoping for a nap.

Tomorrow, we'll likely just lounge around again.  H has a business trip to San Francisco, so I'll likely help him get ready for that, and iron my work clothes for the week - my most dreaded chore.  (Even though we've found a crazy cheap dry-cleaner, I've been trying to cut back as lately we'd been spending about $20 a week on laundry there.)
