Oh hello! Intro

Hi ladies! I have been lurking on and off on this board for a couple of weeks now. I will be going off my birth control in 10 days and I figured I could do my intro a little early! I wont be temping until Fall. We will take the summer to enjoy it and just see what happens.

H is 26 and I am 23. We live in a boys dorm at a rural New England boarding school where he teaches English and I work in the main office. I am also a full time student. We are hoping to be a OAD family but are open to the idea of a second. I will be fortunate enough to be a SAHM and attend college online part time.

We have three cats, Gatsby, Nick, and Myrtle.

I am really excited to start participating in the weekly health check ins! I am down 7lbs since Feb. 1st and want to keep working on losing weight while we are TTC!

  • alyssa32713!  We're going to start TTC in May, so I occasionally post here too.  I stopped taking the pill in November, started prenatals and basic charting in December on Fertility Friend, and then monitoring with OPKs in March.  (My sleep is terrible, so I've yet to master temping.)  Looking forward to sharing this journey with you!!

I am so happy to see a familiar face here!

I started taking prenatals awhile back and I am debating if I want to bother with OPK's this summer or wait till fall.

We just have those pesky patches of snow that hang around until mid may. Fortunately we have a large turf field on campus so I have been able to pretend it is warm green grass to lay in!

I LOVE living with the boys. They have been really good at taking orders from a 23 year old female. They are a lot of fun and I love going to their games to support them, having video games nights, and helping with homework. I think my biggest issue is handling them emotionally. A lot of them have issues at home that keep me awake at night. I try to be as supportive as possible and remind myself that money =/= happiness.

Our floor has 15-17 year olds this year. It is a sophomore and junior floor.
